What we sort before the day
- The lift. Booked, padded if the building requires it, and measured. A queen base that fits a freight lift may not fit a passenger lift, and knowing that early changes the plan, not the day.
- The dock or the kerb. Newer blocks have a loading dock with its own rules; older walk-ups have whatever the street offers. Either way the truck's position is decided before it leaves the depot.

The strips along Illawarra Road and Marrickville Road carry a layer of homes above the shopfronts, reached by back stairs and side lanes. These are their own kind of move: tighter stairs, a landlord's shop trading underneath, and timing that respects both. We treat them as small logistics jobs and plan them the same way.
